The only other relevant thing I can offer is that I actually just sat around waiting for the sounds to play while watching the device manager. I've even gone through every sound in the profile just to make sure I didn't accidentally double up. This is a personalized sound scheme, so these sounds are ONLY linked to the device connecting or disconnecting, respectively.I also have every service pack installed. I've updated every driver I can think of and that has been recommended by other forums.My laptop doesn't have Bluetooth, so it's not just trying to pick up a network.It does this randomly I can't predict when the sounds will play, and nothing shows up in the event viewer that I can link to this problem.Again, it does this when no devices are connected, so it's not a loose USB device.Solutions, and here's what we can rule out: I've already checked out a million online speakers or headphones and not 2 separate devices in the Sound window of your. The problem is that the device connect sound, immediately followed by the device disconnect sound, play intermittently even when not a single device is connected.
